Refuse & Recycling
Please note - During the COVID-19 pandemic we are operating with limited staff on our routes and in our offices. Due to this, pick-ups are regularly running a day or two behind, and will do so for the foreseeable future. Please continue to put your trash on the curb before 7 a.m. on your scheduled day, and leave it out until it is picked up. Thank you.
The Twiss St. Transfer Station (AKA Landfill) is closed to the public until July 1, 2020 per the Board of Health. Any questions and inquiries should be directed to the Health Department’s web page.
The Department of Public Works is responsible for weekly transportation of Refuse and Recycling from Westfield’s residences to the Twiss St. Transfer Station.

Recycling Requirements & Restrictions
Effective January 5, 2015 the City implemented the single stream recycling program. This new program is beneficial to our community both financially and environmentally. Together we can reduce trash hauling costs and increase recycling tonnages for our City.
